xbox 360 wireless adapter review

An In Depth Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter Review

All of the modern gaming consoles are shipping the latest and greatest controllers so let us take a couple minutes to do a quick wireless adapter review. There a couple things to go over when doing an wireless adapter review. The first is how well it works on the system; the second is how it compares to other remotes on other systems. So without further ado let’s start our wireless adapter review.

First Part Of The Wireless Adapter Review – A look At The Unit

In all honesty there is nothing remarkable about the wireless remote. It is exactly the same as the second generation wired Xbox remote from the previous console, except there are couple extra buttons. The remote does come without rechargeable batteries or a charging station and you must pay extra for those. This was a big mistake on Microsoft’s part in my mind. I think they would have been much better served offering a complete solid controller, then the limited controller that they currently have. This is also in addition to the fact that they did have knowledge of the Wii remote that was scheduled to come out. For this section of the wireless adapter review the Xbox controller gets poor marks.

Second part of the wireless adapter review – A Look At The Competition

While the Playstation remote is nice, this section is really all about the remote from Nintendo, or the Wiimote as users like to call it. This remote is one of the most revolutionary things to hit the world of gaming in many years. The Wiimote takes gaming to a whole other level as you can directly interact swinging the remote and make your in game Avatars dance, move or whatever. Microsoft would have done well to pay attention to this and be prepared with a more solid offering on their remote.

While this wireless adapter review is not at all positive, I can see there really are no huge negatives for the Xbox remote. It is a solid remote that learned from the mistakes of previous generations of controllers. The buttons are easy to use, and the Blue Tooth picks up the controller easily. It is just that the unit is not very special and there really is nothing unique about it. I guess I just expected more. Better luck next time Bill.
